Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa
- 2 cups filtered water
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons flaxseed
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional)
- 2 teaspoons Orginal Superfood Blend
- Run water over quinoa through a fine-mesh strainer and then place in a medium saucepan.
- Add all the other ingredients less Superfood Blend and bring to boil,
- Once boiling reduce heat and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until tender and all liquid has been absorbed. Remove from heat and fluff with a fork. Sprinkle the Superfood Blend powder over the cooked grains and fluff again. Serve in individual bowls with warm almond milk poured over and 1 teaspoon ghee added. Other optional toppings include chopped nuts, berries, green apple, raisins, shredded coconut.
