About Malik
Malik Cotter is a Doctor of Acupuncture, a Diplomate of Chinese Medicine, has been awarded an Honorary Professorship at Chengdu Medical University in China, is nationally Certified in Chinese Herbology and teaches patients and students the art of Qigong and Taijiquan. He has authored manuals on herbal usage, written for health-related magazines, has been a consultant for major herb companies, lectures internationally, teaches herbology, nutrition and other health related topics at the Maui College of the University of Hawai’i.
Malik has served as a past chairperson of the Hawaii State Board of Acupuncture, and holds memberships in the National Qigong Association, the American Herbalist Guild, the American Botanical Council and the Maui Zendo.
Dr. Cotter is currently in private practice on Maui, Hawaii where he also teaches and is the owner of the Dragon's Den Herb Shop. He continues to work diligently integrating the principles of traditional Oriental medicine into contemporary western practice, updating what the ancients had known and practiced, framed in today’s contemporary context.
